Power 9 Pro: Goodbye and Thank you

Dear Gamers,

I’m not much for drawing things out, so here’s the short of it:

Power 9 Pro will no longer produce the Dragon’s Eggs.

The decision was not reached easily, and I recognize that a number of people will be disappointed to hear this news. We are contacted daily by individual players, stores looking to stock the Dragon’s Eggs and distributors all over the world.

The short of it is, I cannot scale the business profitably. I have sought to make partnerships that could solve this problem, but alas, I was not able to finalize anything that would solve the issue of scale.

I extend a massive thank you to everyone involved with the Dragon’s Eggs, especially Adria Mooney and Archawir Istanbulian. You both were immensely helpful, and without both of you there certainly would never have been a Dragon’s Egg.

Second, a sincere thank you to each of the gamers who purchased the Dragon’s Eggs over the years. Each of you were also instrumental in the success of the Dragon’s Eggs — I always loved receiving emails from you about how much you loved your Dragon’s Egg. Those memories will always be a trophy I can carry with me. More than that, I know that your word-of-mouth praise is what made it possible for me to continue making the Dragon’s Eggs for nearly five years, despite the headwinds we all experience as entrepreneurs. There are few words to express how much I appreciate your support and enthusiasm.

Thanks again for your support.

Happy gaming,

James DiPadua

  1. Is there any chance you’ll make a batch for mass drop? There’s like 218 requests myself included. He’ll I’d pay $50-80 to get one of these dragon eggs. I JUST found out about these today and super sad I missed it.

  2. I picked up a Dragons Egg last year with a sidekit, and it has worked great for prereleases. I like the compact size with plenty of room for cards. I usually go to pre-release on Saturdays, and keep my dice bag in the overhead compartment and sleeves in the main bag, slowly filling it with my deck and cards. I am sad to see this product leave, as it is one that deserved to dominate the marketplace.

  3. I just want to say I’m so sorry to hear the Dragon’s Egg is no longer being made. I have an older version and it’s been wonderful. Other than being a bit dirty it’s probably the most durable bag I’ve ever had for anything. I was hoping to pick up the newer version of it with the bigger side pockets but instead decided to grab the sidekit instead.

I hope there is a change that the Dragon’s Egg may come back int he future as there is no other bag on the market that even comes close.

  4. I would have easily paid double the price for this bag if it was still available. If it was not profitable you should have just raised the price as it seems it is the best product of its kind on the market world wide. its a damn shame we cant buy it anymore anywhere :-( I cant even find one on ebay and I am sure I am not the only one.

  5. Thank you for letting us know – I’ve shared with many peers how impressed I’ve been with the Dragon’s Egg and am sad to hear you had to close shop on it. I wish you luck in your other endeavors, and hope that someday an opportunity knocks to scale this up well.

  6. At first when I bought my dragons egg (roughly two years ago) I was a little upset about the service and confusion of my order. BUT the magic truly happened when I did finally receive my dragon egg. First night of use was amazing! So compact and DURABLE. I’ve usEd it over the last two years for everything! Not even just Magic! I have used it for drift RC cars, IT work holding all my tools. This little bag was a jackpot! I must have another!
