Breaking News – Rise of the Eldrazi a "Big" set…

Wizards announced today that Rise of the Eldrazi will be a “big” set.  The third set of the Zendikar block will contain 249 cards.  Not only that, but when limited is played in this block, Rise of the Eldrazi (ROE) will be played separately from its two sibling sets.  That is, you’ll either draft ZEN-ZEN-Worldwake, or you’ll draft ROE-ROE-ROE, but there will NOT be drafts featuring Zendikar-Worldwake-ROE.

A bold and somewhat un-precedented move on the part of wizards.  Please post in the comments section if you have an opinion on this potentially contentious issue.

In the mean time, feast your eyes on this excellent image provided with the announcement… if nothing else, Rise of the Eldrazi promises to be a smorgasbord of eye-candy!

wtf? wizards is seriously being screwy with the sets. how is it an expansion set if you don’t draft it with its main set? i kinda think this is REALLY FUCKING LAME. but i have an open mind so i’ll refrain from calling this total crap. it’s just really weird to me. what’s the point!?
