WotC announces all-foil booster packs
WotC announced last tuesday that, starting January 8, 2010, they will be selling a limited supply of all-foil packs containing 15 foil cards from across the Shards of Alara block. The packs will cost $11.99.
Crazy.

first reaction is “really? why?” maybe i’m just too much of a function over form? i mean, some times i like getting foils when they look super sweet…hmm, yeah, i guess i just like the “oh, look. opened a foil!” meaning, i don’t go out of my way to get them. some people do though, this will be great for them.

I dunno about this. While its obviously a Ca$hgrab, it could be cool, because you’re rares become that much more valuable. I might pick 1 up just for the amusement factor, but I really wish they’d have done it with M10 or Zen.

so how much does that make a box of these suckers? I’ll probably draft with these with some buddies for the lulz, but that’s about it, foils are like easter eggs, not christmas dinner.
