Conflux Leaked…already!?

Shards of Alara is barely a month old yet we have a full list of the next expansion to Shards, Conflux.

I’m not sure why we’re so impatient but we magic players can’t seem to be happy with what have have.  Good thing too, because that’s what keeps the awesomeness of Magic fresh: new cards with new mechanics.

There will be a few reprints in the set:

• Mana Cylix
  obviously a good pick for mana fixing
• Maniacal Rage Will def’ be a good fit for fast Bant-Jund-Grix decks focusing on red
• Unsummon Boring and just marginally better than Excommunicate (which is only marginally useful…very marginally).
• Worldly Counsel This will be a good fit for Shards and at a pretty decent cost but I’m not sure it’s THAT high utility.  Good for a “one of” in a draft…maybe.
• The list also includes:  Nicol Bolas.  Wowzas.  7/7 fliers are really tough to deal w/ in drafts.  At one more (cc) than Cruel Ultimatum, it’s not THAT impressive to me but I know it will be tough to deal with because it’s such a game-swinger. Any guesses if Nioli will be run in Cruel-Control?
  

MTG Realm lists Nicol Bolas as a Plainswalker.  Not sure if it will be a reprint of the Legends card or a new release of Nicol as a Plainswalker.  [I'm goign to go look after I post this and will update the blog later if I find anything relavent].
